Reclaim

**(Verse 1)** The house is loud, the walls are thick, The clock keeps ticking, heavy and quick. Dishes stack up, the days blend in, I wonder where my own voice has been. I used to weave lines of silk and shade, Before every promise began to fade. **(Chorus)** I am more than the weight that I carry today, More than the words that I cannot say. Though the rope feels tight and the path feels steep, There is still a quiet spark I intend to keep. I am claiming a pause in the endless strain, Finding my breath through the noise and pain. **(Verse 2)** Remote demands and endless tasks, A face that wears ten different masks. Exhausted hands and a heavy mind, Leaving the shadow of stress behind. I drop the expectations set by the rest, I stop trying to pass an impossible test. **(Chorus)** I am more than the weight that I carry today, More than the words that I cannot say. Though the rope feels tight and the path feels steep, There is still a quiet spark I intend to keep. I am claiming a pause in the endless strain, Finding my breath through the noise and pain. **(Bridge)** The poet inside isn't lost, just tired, Waiting for the moment to be re-inspired. I don't need to fix everything right now, I just need to rest, I will manage somehow. One small step, one breath to release, Choosing myself and choosing peace. **(Outro)** Let the laundry sit, let the world demand, I am taking back control of where I stand. Softly, slowly, the poem returns to me, Finding the space where I get to be free.
